About brackt

brackt is a portfolio of free financial calculators for India, built because the existing tools — ClearTax, Groww, the bank-branded ones — all push signup walls, ads, and nudges toward products you didn't ask about. The numbers they produce are often right. The experience of getting to them is not.

The math here is verified to the rupee against the Income Tax Department's own salary calculator at eportal.incometax.gov.in. The engine is pure functional and runs entirely in your browser — no server call, no payload sent anywhere, no analytics on what you type into the calculator. There is no account system because there is no need for one. We don't track usage at the field level. We don't ask for your email. The URL encodes your inputs so you can share a specific calculation, and that is the full extent of state we touch.

The salary calculator is the first of twelve tools on the roadmap. The others cover what salaried Indians actually need to compute: old-vs-new regime comparison, SIP returns, EMI, NPS corpus, ESOP and RSU tax, capital gains, freelancer tax, HRA, TDS reconciliation, year-over-year comparison. More tools ship as brackt grows. None of them will require a login.
